Finally got a chance to step outside for a quick FRP test using the @rossiusa Brawler in .300BLK. So, yeah, ummm there’s not really any. More cool stuff coming soonish with @liberty_precision_machine’s first printed design.

Boosterless 9mm pistol cans are all the rage. The @boesuppression IL9S is pretty good if you can get it to run. So far only the M9A4 has been able to handle all the extra weight and cycle reliably. Highly recommend a comprehensive spring pack for any pistol if you want to run this.

The CAT SC-S really is a nice paring with the M9A4 and 150gr Syntech. The full size SC is absolutely insane but the short version still gets the job done.

The Mach 38L is indeed very long at 9.8” with a TSXF Ti adapter and it is laughably quiet on a lever gun with 38 special. I’m sure there are diminishing returns but this thing is really quiet. MP5 tests coming next week.

The @liberty_precision_machine Mach 38L reflexed on the @grandpowerusa Stribog SP9A3. Long boi gives really good suppression while being completely impractical on this platform. Fun stuff!

Time for a quiet dinner without any kids…*child banging a metal pot*…welcome to the S&W M&P 22X.
The @smithandwessoninc M&P 22X is an awesome 22LR pistol with one fatal flaw - the sound the slide makes when it closes is so loud and annoying that it completely takes away from the suppressed shooting experience. It’s so bad that I took the time to make and edit a video plus write this post.
Made sure to use some of the quietest 22lr cans to accentuate the effect:

@ottercreeklabs Ti
Anyone else have the same experience?

9MM boosterless pistol cans are quite popular now - giving up “Hollywood” quiet in exchange for practical compactness. This go around we’ve got the new @frontofrifle_systems_ Pluto 9 weighing in at a diminutive 2.5oz, 4.25” long and 1.25” diameter. The proximal end has a taper to prevent guide rod collisions.
The Pluto 9 shares a lots of characteristics with the Pluto Micro 22 - a slightly higher pitch, suppression that works in a pinch, and made and supported by some really awesome guys. I had good luck running it on the CZ and will run it on a few other hosts to see how many, if any, need recoil spring changes.

Few cans surprise me like the @stealth_additive_works Shiv. The performance of this can far exceeds its dimensions - especially when you compare it to something like the Obsidian 9 short config (3.7” vs 4.85”; 1.3” vs 1.37” dia.; 2.5 oz vs 8.7 oz).
Is it quiet with good subs, sufficiently. Is it the quietest, no - you can’t totally escape physics. But what it can do is turn nearly any threaded 9mm pistol into a fantastic bedside gun that points naturally and isn’t cumbersome.
Tons of people are trying to get one and rightly so. We think they’re fantastic especially for the price.
What do you think?

Last (for now) but not least, we have the MP5 platform for some roller-delayed goodness.
The results were interesting (incoming subjective
opinions):
The MOB, Milkman proto, and Anthem 38 V2 were all excellent. The Sub 9 was a little bit louder and gassier than the Anthem but not bad. The R9 was surprisingly loud at the ear so much so that I cannot recommend it on this platform. The extremely high back pressure, despite good muzzle suppression, made the port pop extremely obvious and annoying even compared to the other platforms (MPX and Kuna). Roller-delayed actions absolutely benefit from high early flow rate silencers like the MOB and Milkman.

Yet more testing today with the still relatively new Kuna. Spoiler: this platform is definitely louder than the MPX and MP5.

@ottercreeklabs Milkman prototype
@liberty_precision_machine Anthem 38 V2
@ruggedsuppressors Sub 9
@yhmachineco R9
@apparition_instruments AI Nano 9MM
Well the Kuna was more interesting than expected. The MOB had the edge over the Milkman prototype by a little bit but there was a significant gap between the remainder. The Anthem, Sub 9, and especially the R9 all struggled on the Kuna - this platform really needs very high early time flow rate silencers to not be loud to the shooter.
